PUDŁO Pamięć historyczna i kulturowa mieszkańców Dolnośląskiej Ziemi Obornickiej Publikowane: Studia Salvatoriana Polonica 3(2009), s. 231-249 THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL MEMORY OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE LOWER SILESIAN OBORNIKI LAND Summary The author presents the results of his research concerning remembrances of the inhabitants who settled down in the town and commune of Oborniki Śląskie after World War II. Two books are the basic source of this study: We, the Obornicians. Great Book of Lower Silesian Oborniki Land (2005), and by B. Muszkalska, Voices from the past. Musical traditions as remembered by the Obornicians (2006). The inhabitants have kept in memory the experiences of war, the emotional relation to their former land and to their new social and natural environment, as well as certain cultural facts. In the difficult process of integration the settlers have created a new society with new culture. None of the settlers' groups has kept the whole of their original regional culture and neither did the spouses of the mixed region and ethnic marriages. ---------------------------------------------------------	Uwagi wstępne I.
